Ballycotton Seafood has 20 boats landing fish and shell fish on a daily basis. We have a mix of large boats and smaller inshore day boats. This combination ensures that our fish is fresh when landed to us. We work actively with our skippers in relation to managing their fish to deliver better quality and freshness. We are fully licensed by the SFPA, we have full traceability and we have food safety management systems in place including HAACP.
Ballycotton Seafood exports fish and seafood products to France, Spain and the U.K. twice weekly in both fresh and frozen formats using specialist transport companies. We also supply a range of Smoked Fish to Eurpoean markets. Our fish and shellfish is landed locally and transported to our processing facility at Garryvoe on the shores of Ballycotton Bay. We have cold storage units, freezer facilities (IQF), a commercial production unit and our traditional smokehouse. All our fish and shellfish is graded and packed at our modern processing facility to suit our customer needs. We supply a range of fresh fillets. We have additional cold storage capacity off site which is used when necessary. Fish and shellfish can be packed as per the customer’s requirements. A full list of products are listed below.
